<br />What rich man would not pay half his fortune for another years time on this green planet we call Earth?

<br />So much time is spent in the acquisition of money, and so little time is available for money's enjoyment.
<br />
<br />Thus the rich tend to concentrate their few moments of leasure time into lavish, conspicuous rituals of consumption.
<br />
<br />Some prefer $1000 designer dinners in restaurants who cater to such clientele.
<br />
<br />Others take posh vacations, cars, boats, etc. Others buy jewelry.
<br />
<br />Often the price of a single jewel could clothe and feed several underprivilged children for a year or more.
<br />
<br />Often that single jewel resides in a box full of such jewels, acquired one at a time over a period of time in a liesure activity known as "shopping".
<br />
<br />Shopping is an activity wherein people exchange the money they spend most of their time aquiring for material objects they desire to possess.
<br />
<br />As you can see, shopping is an activity where little if any thought is given to the misfortunes of others.
